Groove-Diggers Presents! A vinyl compilation that explores the essence of "rare groove" from super killer tunes that everyone has heard of at least once to extremely rare tunes that only a few people know about!
Since its launch in 2006, the Groove-Diggers series has been unearthing high-quality records (grooves) from soul, funk, jazz, Brazilian, and Latin music, regardless of genre, nationality, or era, and has released over 100 titles so far.
This is the ultimate collection that could only be achieved through this series, selecting from extremely rare records known only to those in the know to super killer tunes that everyone has heard at least once!
This first release includes the unquestionable killer tune ``You Are the One That I Need'' by Chicago funk band Southside Movement and female singer Jackie Ross, a tropical / Brazilian-flavored groovy soul, as well as the euphoric, superb free soul “Disco City” from Ernie Story's “Meditation Blue”, a super rare AOR-meets-modern soul record that was miraculously reissued last year.
